In 2009 Dan Finn established the Global Initiatives Committee, now changed to International Scholarly Relations Committee. Participants of the initial consultation estimated as SCE becomes increasingly international in scope to be a 20 year process. Recommendations: SCE find place for international Ph.D. students to gather, e.g., lunch to foster camaraderie, and that committee identifies 40 universities or theological centers around world to which we would offer Journal gratis. SCE would likewise seek to provide other relevant journals to these universities. Personal invitations to students or scholars would be encouraged. Journal might commission survey articles regarding state of Christian ethics in “global South.” Members of SCE are encouraged to draw upon wider, international bibliography. Members are encouraged to bring students to annual SCE meetings.
